Our Principal, Leah Keegan graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.

Leah has been working almost exclusively in the area of Family Law since 2008, firstly as a paralegal and then as a lawyer following her admission in 2013.

Diverse experience

Leah’s experience is diverse.  Prior to entering private practice, Leah worked at a Community Legal Centre where she gained experience in complex child related proceedings, particularly involving family and domestic violence and serious risk issues involving children.  Leah often represented clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds which required her to adapt her approach and advice to ensure sensitivity, understanding while still providing sound legal advice.

After entering private practice in early 2014, Leah gained experience with a boutique firm where she practiced almost exclusively in family law.  Leah gained experience in matters involving complex trust and corporate structures in property settlement, high net worth property settlements, urgent spousal maintenance applications, relocation applications (including Hague convention matters) recovery order applications (including urgent watch list applications), and many matters involving allegations of abuse and family violence.

“Leah is an exceptional lawyer specialising in her field of family law. Her experience gained, past and present, has been worth every cent in her ability to handle tough and sensitive cases. Leah is an extremely competent lawyer that dives deep into the details for her clients.”
